HELP! Is there a program that will give you financial assistance to build a mother-in-law apartment at my home to care for my ederly mother? She wants her own space but needs to be close to family for assistance. She cannot afford ACLF and I would prefer her be with me.  But I am not in a postion to finance an attached dwelling... I would make payments on a low interest loan and allow a second mortgage on my property.

She does not own a home.  She is currently living with a sibling that is getting married next year.

Any assistance or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
